The Tenth Plague: Death of the Firstborn

Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

This plague was a difficult one to explain, death is never easy and a craft involving it seemed disrespectful.
We decided to instead do a craft to remember the reason Passover is called Passover.

To make your own Passover home you will need:

A little cardboard box
Red paint
White paint
A paintbrush

We started by cutting a little door into our tea box.

We then painted the outside of the box white.

When the paint had dried we used red paint to symbolise the blood painted onto the door posts.

We put little white robes onto little Playmobil people and pretended they lived in our little Passover house.

You can find all the Ten Plagues Crafts in the Ten Plagues Category. They are all there now, feel free to pin and share them!

Have fun and Happy Passover!
