This Week’s Adventure – The Meadow

We are starting our new lesson plan tomorrow and I have got a lot of fun Passover crafts planned! I have talked about our fun plans a lot over on twitter, (let’s be friends!) and I can not wait to share all our exciting plans, crafts and ideas with you, but first I would like to tell you about our weekend.
This week’s adventure took us to The Meadow. We used to go there often when we still lived a little closer, and a visit had been long overdue.
I love this time between winter and spring, the air is still crisp and clear, but the sunlight finds us and flowers start to appear.

Now that we are able to get out more I have been thinking about boy’s clothes. I must admit that during the winter we usually let the little ones wear their pyjamas, layers upon layers of warm cotton topped with woolly jumpers and big coats, but now that the coats are no longer necessary I find myself wondering just how we look when we walk out into this great big world.
It’s easy to dress Emily, she likes to keep it simple and modest, a longsleeved shirt and a long shirt or dress matched with white tights, but the boys, well, they are trickier!
George prefers to wear warm clothes and hats, woolly jumpers and tights.
His favourite is his stripey pyjama shirt.

I have been trying to find cheerful children’s clothes ready for summer, we like to shop at Lands’ End and Amazon.
(Online shopping is something we very much rely on these days, living miles away from the nearest shop.)

We have also been thinking some more about going GeoCaching again, too.
This month of adventures has really helped us get back into the habit of adventuring, just the five of us.
I can’t wait to explore more, especially now that the weather is better. It can still be difficult with George as he does not quite know about road safety yet, but we are really getting there, holding hands, walking together and staying close.
I’m really grateful that we pushed ourselves to get outside more after a difficult winter mostly spent in. I am proud of my little family.
Have you done anything new and fun lately? Where do you buy quality children’s clothes online?
Have a lovely day!

We go geocaching reasonably regularly, it’s SO much fun! The joy when the children find the little container, writing our team name in the book and swapping a little token is all fun. But even better is the exploring of our city to find nooks and crannies we didn’t even know existed. I’ve blogged about it a couple of times on my blog but have no idea how to search on there (hopeless blogger alert!).

    Have fun!

Lovely! You’re much further along with spring than we are! The boys got out their bikes this weekend and rode around in the mud while my husband boiled maple syrup (I stayed inside working on the computer, but took one little walk in the woods).

Have you tried HannaAndersson? They have cheerful clothes, but like everywhere else, the girls’ clothes are cuter than the boys’. How about Etsy? Lots of fun handmade stuff there (I got the boys batik boxer shorts they love)!
