This week I am grateful for a lovely week, for adjusting our new daily routine to our family, for more decluttering, for new spaces emerging and for new recipes tried.
I am grateful for mornings spent drawing together,
for our bread-machine and for felt-tip pens.
I am grateful for a forecast of snow, for woolly socks and for Emily’s imagination.
This morning sweet Georgie woke up crying from a nightmare. Nothing would calm our little man down, so we went to Netflix and let him watch The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. It was the first time Georgie had seen Elmo, but he immediately loved him. This week I am grateful for Elmo, for the internet and for phonecalls from Elmo.
I am grateful for a box of old books that found its’ way into our home from grandpa’s house, for the stories we share and for the discovery of adventure books.
Sweet Emily immediately declared them all her new favourites!
What are you grateful for this week?
Have a lovely day!

What a lovely list of ‘gratefuls’!
This week I’m grateful for a return to our quieter daily routine and rhythm after the busyness of the holidays and house guests, for a good new book I’m reading on my Kindle (The American Wife, by Curtis Sittenfield – I am completely engrossed!), for unusually temperate weather, for jam and popovers, and for the thrill and promise of a new blank notebook.
All good things!
Have a wonderful weekend
