This week I am grateful for so much.
I am grateful that our holiday presents are sorted. It is October and I am feeling very organised!
We are not buying things for the sake of having a lot of presents, Santa and the Hanukkah Fairy will be bringing things that we think the little ones will use and enjoy, and it feels good. (Those of you who asked about our list of presents, I am working on sending that list out to you.)
I am grateful that some very generous people are sending us a large box of toys to review in this little space, and I am even more grateful that we don’t need those toys, which means that we will be able to review the toys and then pass them on to friends who can not afford to buy presents this year. I will spread the reviews out over the next few weeks so I hope it won’t bother you too much, but I just could not pass up this opportunity to help other people have a good Christmas. I hope you understand.
We have been thinking about personalised Christmas cards , I quite like the idea of sending out a family portrait, and given our track record of actually sending the cards we write, well, this just might get us sending them! I think we will continue to send home-made cards to our friends, though, because I love our tradition of making cards together on a snowy day.
I am grateful for a fever that seems to be going down, for Arthur getting all the rest he needs, for these cherry-pit star cushions keeping the little ones warm in their beds,
for new stories to read as we are trying to make Shabbat more and more special,
for Emily’s drawings,
and for a new banner on the blog when I really didn’t think we would get it done before winter!
I hope you like it, we had lots of fun making it!
What are you grateful for this week?
Have a lovely day!
