As you probably know by now, we absolutely love to play boardgames!
I mentioned before that one of our favourites is Junior Scrabble by Mattel.
This week the lovely people at Mattel are giving you a chance to win your very own copy of Junior Scrabble!
All you have to do is leave a comment telling me what your favourite word is!
It is a great way to learn to spell and read.
The rules are easy enough for little ones to understand: Match your letters to the letters on the board and complete the words!
Once they are a bit better at finding words all by themselves you can flip over the reversible game board and play proper Scrabble together! (Emily prefers this version because she gets to use big, fancy words like
“chandelier“! )

My current favorite word is jelly because I love how my 2.5 year old says it with a heavy North Carolina accent. I grew up in NY with very different accents and I think it’s adorable.
since I was a child I love the alliteration of the word, “Onomatopoeia.” It was a long time before I learned to spell it…actually in 8th grade, but I fell in love the the sound of it in fifth grade.
