One of our New Year’s resolutions was to make our home a space we all absolutely love, every little part of it, even the not so perfect corners. (We all have them, right?)
We have slowly started to make changes around the house, including getting rid of our TV .
You might remember that a little while ago we re-decorated the children’s bedroom with a space theme.
While it was fun it didn’t feel quite right. I think the mistake we made was using too many dark colours and not putting anything with meaning or memories into their room. It was a nice bedroom, but it didn’t feel like home,
so we set to work and changed some things!
Re-doing their bedroom was a great way to practise some Hebrew, too!
Emily and I made a lovely Hebrew wall decorations together, it says Good Night.
We also wanted their bedroom to be full of things that will remind them of how loved they are, so it is filled with things that have been hand-made for them by family and friends. I love this cheerful crochet blanket, and it matches the colourful elephants so well!
Everyone has been sleeping really well since we changed things around in their bedroom, and suddenly they are both very eager to go to bed in the evenings and make their beds in the morning!
Of course this room is always changing with lots of crafts and pictures being added and changed, but I already love it! I’m so glad we found that adorable bedding that both Emily and Georgie love.
I think this might just be my favourite room in our home!
What is your favourite room? Any exciting home improvements happening?
Have a lovely day!
