Lemon & Honey Tea

The little ones have caught their very first cold this year, so we have spent the day cuddled up on the sofa with stories and woolly socks, and this fantastic Lemon & Honey Tea. I am so grateful to have bookmarked that recipe just a few days ago, it is really simple and tastes so very warming. The honey soothes sore throats and the lemon gives you some extra vitamins, which makes it the perfect drink for autumn and winter.

The recipe calls for just two ingredients; Lemons and honey!
We sliced up two lemons and put them into a glass jar, then squeezed the honey right on top.
It now sits in our fridge and is slowly turning into a sort of gel which can be used to make the tea, just one teaspoon with hot water.
This drink has been making us all feel better today, what a blessing!
Have a lovely day!

My mum always used to make this for me when I was little and ill … later on she would add brandy to it!

    Great minds think alike!!
I made a batch this past weekend, I added ginger to ours too.
I have been fighting off a cold for a few days and the last couple of days haven’t been using this and now I have a sore throat. :( Back to using this now and hopefully a little sore throat is all I get.
Hope you guys are feeling better!! :)
