Summer Reading List

One of the things that we love most during the summer is our Summer Book Basket.
I love being able to take it outside with us and know that we won’t be bored even when it is time to slow down and sit in the shade for a little while, and it makes it easy for us to pick up a few books as we are heading out the door, too.
I thought I’d share our Summer reading with you, maybe you can discover some new books your little ones might like, and I’d love to hear your recommendations, too!

Children love hearing the same stories over and over again, and the Summer Book Basket makes it easy to keep all our favourites in one place.

What a lovely list of books. Blueberry Girl is one of my favorites. So beautiful. I love this idea! It seems like a great way to promote summer reading.

Thank you for sharing your book basket. We also love the ‘guess how much I love you’ series which has a book for each season. We also love Percy the park keeper series in which this charming character has adventures with animals in his park throughout the seasons.

  3. We just started reading books according to the seasons this past winter, and we really love it! Really helps us to go with the changes of seasons and appreciate nature in the present moment. But with our recent move, I had sort of forgot about this. Thanks for reminding me, I’ll be sure to get back to it and take out the basket tonight!

Blueberry girl is excellent. My 6 year old loves this book still , and I enjoy reading it to her. I love this idea too. We already have a box of smaller books (so they are easier to find). I may get a box and put some summer books in there too. Great idea.
