Recycled Paper Bowl

In our home we go through a lot of paper.
I have never been one to say no to crafts, writing ,drawing or painting, but sometimes I do feel guilty about the amount of paper we use.
We recycle most of our paper . Now that we are so close to spring we have been growing wishes, but it felt like we should try something different, too.
We added some colourful tissue paper to our scrap paper and made a tiny little recycled paper bow.

They are easy to make and you can use things you already have at home.
Here is how we did it:

You will need:

A few pages of paper
Colourful tissue paper
1 cup of glue
A blender
A sieve
A bowl
A few sheets of toilet tissue

How to:
Fill your blender to about half with water.
Tear your paper and tissue paper into small pieces and put it into the blender.

When you have added all the paper add one cup of white glue to the blender.

Now let your blender mix it up until you end up with a squishy paperclay.

Pour the mixture into a sieve and gently squeeze most of the water out of it.
This stuff is seriously fun to play with, let your little ones do it, they will love it!
Now arrange the mixture in a small plastic bowl. If it doesn’t seem to stick together well you can add more glue.

Now all you have to do is let it dry for about 48 hours.
Your little paper bowl should just slide out of the plastic bowl.

It took as a few tries to find just the right mix of paper, tissue paper and glue,
so don’t give up if it doesn’t work the first time around.
I think we will be making a few really small bowls and plates for the play kitchen, too!

Have a lovely day!
