While the weather is so wonderfully rainy we have been spending a lot more time indoors.
The rainy weather might just be the reason that each Autumn my little ones , especially Emily, get a little bit obsessed with puzzles, and it has already started. We have donated a few old puzzles and found a few new ones, too.
Have you seen these My World puzzles by Gibsons? They are brilliant! The “My Body” is two puzzles, one about the inside of the body and one of the outside, perfect for little doctors-to-be. My little ones seem to think that the brain is the funniest thing ever.. Oh, and there’s a little posting slot at the top of the box that keeps the little brothers very busy while big sisters do puzzles!
The boys have been very busy playing with the wooden train-tracks, especially the little wooden cars.
We build bridges together and they love pushing their cars up the bridge and let go just to see how far they go.
I think we might paint the train tracks like we did with the watercolour building blocks.
Sometimes, after a long day, all I see is the mess they make while they play, but at the end of the day when I pick up their toys, move their carefully set up teaparties, roads and gnome homes, I can see the mess for what it really is.
Beautiful evidence of a childhood full of fun and magic, a childhood spent playing, imagining and having fun.
I’m so grateful for those little messes and reminders.
Wishing you a wonderful day!
