The sun salutation is a quick & easy yoga pose we do every morning at the beginning of our yoga routine.
Here is how to do it:
(The photos aren’t great but I did not want to interrupt Emi.)
Start by standing up straight with your feet close together and your hands in front of your chest.
Now reach up high,
then bend down low. (See if you can touch your toes!)
Now jump your feet back into Downward Facing Dog, (an upside-down V shape)
then lay flat on your tummy.
Push your head and your chest up and look high into the sky.
Now push yourself up on your feet back into Downward Facing Dog,
step your feet forward to your hands,
straighten your legs,
then stand up and reach up high into the air and draw the sun right into the sky
in great big round circles, sway side to side, lift your leg up to the side and keep your body really strong.
Return to Mountain Pose.
That’s it, you have just done a sun salutation!
Well done!
