Felt Handprint Autumn Trees

As you all probably know by now, Autumn is my absolutely favourite season.
Each year I can’t wait for the 1st of September when I can finally start Autumn crafting and decorating, but this year I just could not wait any longer! Today was so rainy that we simply had to do some Autumn crafts.
I can’t wait to share them all with you.
The first craft we did were these Handprint Autumn Trees.

(I will be sharing more pictures of our Autumn Nature Table soon!)

You will need:

Wool felt in orange, yellow, red and brown, and in any colour for your background.
Glue
Scissors
A pen

How to:

Start by tracing your little one’s hand onto the brown felt, then let them cut it out.

Cut out lots and lots of little oval shapes for leaves!

P1430099

Glue your tree onto a sheet of felt or paper.

Now add the leaves. We found it really useful to squeeze a whole lot of glue out into a little bowl and then just dip the leaves into that.

Emi also wanted to glue on little doors for the fairies,
so she cut out big circles to glue onto the tree trunk and added little yellow dots as doorhandles.

Now just wait for your picture to dry and then put it up on the wall.
We made a whole little forest with Emi,George & Arthur’s Hand-Trees all on the same sheet of felt.

I hope you have fun making these sweet trees!
Wishing you a lovely not-quite-Autumn day.

How lovely! Love your nature table. We are still in the heat of summer so fall coolness isn’t on my mind yet. Of course we’re usually in that heat until mid October! Can’t wait for cooler weather! Enjoy!

  2. So sweet and brilliant! I’m a huge Autumn fan, too :-)

It is still way too hot here to think of autumn, but I can’t wait! I will make those trees with my lovies! Just a little longer…
