Namaste

(Check out our guest post over at The Craft Crow today for a fun craft!)

I’m not quite sure how this girl of mine got away with not doing yoga each and every day of her life,
but now that Mama is a Yoga teacher for little ones, well, now she does yoga with me every morning.
(Usually in her pyjamas!)

It has changed her a lot, she is much calmer and a lot more confident in her abilities, too.
Usually we do about twenty minutes before she says she is getting tired, but then she keeps going anyway, being a butterfly or a tree. She is really so good. After we have done the whole kid’s yoga routine we end with a quick relaxation and then sing Namaste together.

This is Emily being a tree, about to grow large, strong branches full of delicious apples:

I let her choose the incense for yoga time,
today she chose grape.

I really, really want to encourage you all to do yoga with your little ones or just take half an hour each day to sing songs together and dance.
I usually clean at that time in the morning, but, after all,

It’s been a while since the tub was cleaned, so what’s another day? ..

Wishing you a lovely day!

  1. So awesome! I’ve never been in to yoga, but I bet it would do a world of good for both me and my son. Perhaps we can find a beginner’s class to do together, then take it home :-)

Love your blog! I’m a complete yoga novice, but I’d love to do some with my 3.5 year old. I think it would be really beneficial for him. Any advice on how to start? Looking forward to reading your complete yoga routine for children. :)
