Summery Mornings

We have been taking some time off our daily & weekly routine to spend time with our visitor, and even though we have not been reading many books, doing crafts or going on early morning nature walks, we are still having a wonderful time.
(Though I must admit that I can hardly wait for things and especially my little ones to return to normal. It has been a noisy week,to say the least!)

We did celebrate Shabbat, though, and I always love how baking Challah is such a gentle reminder to slow down, it always adds a kind of rhythm to the day, and I loved watching it rise in the warm sunshine while my little ones played happily.

I always think it’s strange how , when somebody comes to stay with you for a while, you change how you live in order to fit them in somehow, and now I really regret that Auntie Katrin did not get to see our actual life, because I really would have liked her to see what it’s like around here, experience our morning circles, our story time, our nature walks, family game time and all that..
But even with all that change, there was always time for baby naps,

& for a few stories in the sun while Auntie Katrin went shopping.

I think we will spend the next few days picking dandelion leaves for tea
and just enjoying the glorious sunshine that we have been blessed with recently.

Nothing beats a garden full of flowers (& weeds, molehills and mice, aehm!)..

I am wishing you all a wonderful day.
