The …everything (?) room.

This is the room where we spend most of our inside time during the day.
We do have a brilliantly large garden which I am hoping to show to you soon, but I am so happy we finally finished this room. As we are still renting we could not paint it or do anything to the floors, but we did have to put in curtains.
I am really happy with this space, even though there is a lot going on it still feels calm and cosy.

The drawing table is of course one of the definite corners in our home, I really can’t imagine our days without it!

This is a rather odd angled corner that is half hidden behind a curtain. It’s a funny place this little home of ours..
(Have you spotted the plastic toy? That’s part of HappyLand , I will tell you all about that in another post!)

Our fireplace that is lacking a fire;

The Seasons wall that is always a work in progress..
The labels above the shelf read “seasonal books” “seasonal toys” and “toy of the week” and are soon to be replaced by a prettier version, but for now they will do just fine.

As the rocking chair is in the little one’s bedroom now , we needed another place to just sit down when we need a rest.
(The sofa? But that’s for bouncing!)
We decided that a few beanbag chairs that we found in our storage from many houses ago would be a nice idea, so we built a little cosy corner.
There is a bookbasket which has some quiet read-alone and read-together books in it, a cuddly blanket and a soft cuddly toy. I’m not sure where he came from, but he is ever so soft and lovely.

I wasn’t sure if it was going to get used, as our sofa is really quite big and comfortable, but the little ones seem to really like it. It’s perfect for reading a quick story,

& even better for naps. Both pretend and real.
(Georgie is actually asleep, Miss Emily is just pretending.)

We also decided to name this home,
our first house was already named for us, our second house was not allowed to name, but this one, well, this one is up to us! I will tell you all about it once we have a little name plate for it.
What’s your home’s name? I find this such a difficult decision, what happens when we move? Do we take the name? Rename the next house? I’m hoping I won’t have to worry about that for quite some time, though!
Anyway, I better get back to unpacking, I think we might just be done with everything by tomorrow!

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

I love the snuggling corner. I have always wanted one and never really pulled it off yet. My two love to hide and really liked the hanging “cocoon” in the myriad catalogue so maybe we will splash out for Christmas.

why would you have a picture of the pope in your house?

I love your house, though, it really looks like a family “cave”, in a comfy way :D
