Joining the Birthday Caterpillar

Back in Germany many years ago, the school I went to had a Birthday Caterpillar in every classroom.
Every child got their own circle to write their name & birthday and draw a special picture, then the circles were all put up in a long line to make the caterpillar.
I always loved this, so we always had our very own Birthday Caterpillar in our home.

Yesterday we found out that we are having a little boy,
& even though we don’t know just yet when exactly he will be joining us , we do know it is some time between Daddy’s & Emi’s birthdays, so this is where we put his circle, with his name, & a picture that his very own big sister drew “just extra especially” for him.

And so, even though Eli is not here “properly” yet, he already is a part of our family, our traditions & certainly our little one’s pictures & crafts.

Wishing you a lovely day,
